James is a proven leader who helps HALO partners measure what matters and act with clarity under pressure. He brings together more than 15 years of military leadership, elite coaching and crisis response with deep expertise in analysis and data to deliver outcomes partners can trust.

As an Infantry Section Commander in the New Zealand Army, James developed decision making under pressure, trust based leadership and operational execution. He went on to shape future leaders at the Institute for Leader Development and coached the Army Shooting Team to historic victories, earning both the CO Commendation and the NZ Deputy Chief of Army Award for Innovation. With more than 12 years in the NZ Army Reserve, his leadership experience is grounded, disciplined and practical.

In the civilian world, James combines analytics with organisational psychology to strengthen decision making and improve performance. He has delivered data solutions across Defence, Health, Emergency Services and Technology, building capability, fostering data driven cultures and equipping organisations to turn information into insight. His work spans strategy, people analytics, performance measurement and governance, always focused on improving outcomes for partners.
