Intelligence and Impact Strategist

James is a battle-tested leader and strategist with over 15 years of experience in military leadership, elite coaching, and data-driven execution. He has led high-performance teams in operational, crisis response, and corporate environments, making him a key driver of HALO’s execution-first approach.

As an Infantry Section Commander in the New Zealand Army, James mastered decision-making under pressure, trust-based leadership, and operational execution. He shaped future leaders at the Institute for Leader Development and coached the Army Shooting Team to historic victories — earning the CO Commendation and the NZ Deputy Chief of Army Award for Innovation.

James has brought this expertise into civilian roles, leading enterprise analytics, advising as a Big 4 consultant, and serving in key crisis response roles during the Christchurch earthquake and Canterbury COVID-19 response.

From the battlefield to the boardroom, James equips leaders to act with clarity, precision, and confidence — especially when the pressure is on.

At HALO, he ensures leadership isn’t just understood — it’s executed.
