CHL–AG

Certified HALO Leader – Agriculture©

Certified HALO Leader , Agriculture workshop with on-farm leaders

For busy, on-farm leaders who need to lead under pressure, not write about it.

Leadership on the land is different, and because there’s no pause button or room for fluff, when things go sideways you lead through it, meanwhile the ability to stay calm under pressure becomes a critical skill.

Agricultural leadership training built for farmers under pressure

The Certified HALO Leader agriculture programme is built for that reality, delivering agricultural leadership training that’s practical and grounded in the sector, in turn developing practical leadership skills for farmers under pressure, equipping them to step up with confidence and lead effectively on farm.

Who It’s For

  • On-farm leaders, 2ICs, and in particular team supervisors
  • Farmers stepping into leadership roles as they move forward in their careers
  • Rural professionals who manage people and decisions, while also balancing on-farm demands
  • Agri-businesses wanting leadership consistency across operations, therefore strengthening results across teams

What's included

CHL–AG is structured around farming’s natural rhythm with one short, sharp workshop per month so you stay on top of leadership without falling behind on the work. As a result, participants can focus on leading without losing momentum in day-to-day operations.

Each 3-hour session includes:

  • One high-performance leadership tool you can apply that day
  • Group-based conversations grounded in real on-farm experience
  • Practical challenges to lead better that week

No jargon. No assignments. No wasted time.
Instead, you get leadership tools that work under pressure, with your team, in the thick of it. In other words, every session is designed to be applied immediately.

What You’ll Gain

You’ll gain clear tools for fast, confident decision-making. Alongside that, leaders experience more calm, clarity, and control under pressure. As teams build confidence to lead across generations and handle tough conversations, performance strengthens:

  • You’ll gain clear tools for fast, confident decision-making
  • Leaders experience more calm, clarity, and control under pressure
  • Teams build confidence to lead across generations, handle tough conversations, and as a result strengthen performance.
  • An agribusiness leadership programme that builds stronger managers and team leaders across the industry, ultimately, the goal is to lift capability right across the rural sector.

The programme

Each session builds a critical leadership capability. Across the 11 workshops, participants develop practical skills they can apply immediately on farm, for example:

Leadership Foundations

Clarity, presence, execution, and what great rural leadership looks like.

Systems Thinking

Understand how decisions ripple across people, paddocks, and production, using tools such as Systems Maps and Cause & Effect Chains. For example, one choice in stock management often impacts feed supply and labour planning.

Strategic Communication

Say less, mean more, and lead with clarity and purpose. In particular, Real-World Intent Mapping brings this to life. As a result, leaders communicate with fewer misunderstandings.

Planning and Coordination

Shift from daily chaos to seasonal structure and guide people through it with the PACT Execution Framework© and the Priority Planning Grid©. As a result, leaders can keep focus across both short-term tasks and long-term outcomes.

Leading Through Crisis

Stay calm, stay clear, and lead through the toughest days with the HALO 3F Adversity Response Model© and the HALO Immediate Action Drill©. Because pressure is constant, these tools prepare leaders to act decisively.

High Pressure Decision Making

Decide fast and well, even when there’s no time, supported by the RACE Decision-Making Model©.

Difficult Conversations

Say what needs to be said without losing trust or momentum by applying the ACT Accountability Model© and the Tough Talk Framework©. Meanwhile, relationships stay strong because the process is clear and fair.

Trust Based Relationships

Trust drives action. Learn how to build it and lead through it with the HALO Trust and Execution Model©.

Positive and Motivating Leadership

Keep morale strong, culture positive, and teams committed through the Motivation Map© and the Recognition Framework©. In turn, this boosts retention and performance.

Leading Diverse Teams

Lead across generations, experience levels, and personalities with the Flex-Style Communication Tool©.

Building Successful Teams

Lock it in, set your rhythm, and lead with consistency using the Leadership Integration Planner©.
